Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-01

BuildCalc is a set of free online calculators. This policy explains what data the site collects, why, and what control you have over it. The short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser, your measurements are never sent to a server, and the only third parties involved are the advertising and analytics services described below.

What we do not collect

The dimensions, material selections, waste allowances and prices you type into a calculator are processed by JavaScript in your own browser. They are never transmitted to us, never stored, and never associated with you. There is no account, no login, and no server-side database of user inputs.

What is collected automatically

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs when you request a page: your IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page and your browser's user agent string. These logs are used for security and for diagnosing errors, and are retained for a limited period.

Cookies and advertising

This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to serve ads, and Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
• Google's own practices are described in the Google Privacy & Terms page.

Where required by law — in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — a consent message is shown before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the link in that message or in the site footer.

Analytics

If analytics is enabled on this site, it is used only in aggregate: which pages are visited and roughly how many people visit them. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data relating to you, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Because we do not hold personal data about you beyond ordinary server logs, most such requests are best directed to the advertising providers listed above, who are the data controllers for the information they collect.

Requests may also be sent to hello@wang11.xyz and will be answered within the period required by applicable law.

Children

This site is intended for adults planning construction and landscaping work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — for example if a new advertising or analytics provider is added — the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change and the new providers will be named here.
